THE SCHOOL HOUSE B&B REPORT

Winter 2018

Although the long hot days of summer are behind us now, the sun is still shining here in Shropshire.  It's just that we need to wrap up a bit more when we take Molly (our dog) out for early morning walks.

Out & About In The Shropshire Hills

These clear days are giving some fine views from the Shropshire Hills where it's possible to see the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia. We always enjoy finishing a good walk in a pub which has a log fire burning and we can recommend plenty of those around here (note: it’s not a daily occurrence for us to finish in the pub!).

Broad Street, Ludlow

The sunshine is also continuing to make Ludlow look splendid as the medieval features stand out in many of the buildings. As ever there's lots happening in Ludlow as the shops and markets start preparing for Christmas.

The Tinsel Tuesday Markets will run throughout December.  These markets, which are in addition to the normal Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday markets offer beautiful bespoke products created by local arts and crafts people. There will also be music, mulled drinks and festive food on offer.

Ludlow Medieval Fayre

On 24th & 25th November the Ludlow Medieval Fayre is taking place in the grounds of the castle. Entertainment includes music, comedy, fighting knights and theatre as well as stalls selling handmade gifts and quality wares.

Dog Friendly and Open

Remember that The School House is a dog friendly B&B as we welcome dogs into our ground floor room Redlake.

We are also open all year including the period between Boxing Day and New Year.

The School House B&B Offer

If you would like to stay with us over the next couple of months we are offering all rooms at just £95 per night for the rest of the year.  Returning guests staying for two nights or more will also get a £20 voucher for the Ludlow Farmshop (the rebranded Ludlow Food Centre).

Review

"A warm welcome and lovely cosy room as the weather turned cold & frosty. Cold but sunny days full of the autumnal colours in this beautiful location."
