Our Escape to Shropshire
31st January 2016
As well as all the research on what we needed to know to set up, run and market a B&B, we covered some pretty obscure subjects - how to calculate waste water flow rates, the typical habitat of a pearl mussel, the benefits of an automist fire safety system and even the name of the Bishop of Hereford, to name a few!
Now, finally, we are both settled into our lovely new home in the beautiful Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), having left the rat race behind. Our house needs a fair bit of refurbishment and it wasn’t previously a Bed & Breakfast, so we have a few months’ preparation - both on the building side and the business set-up side.
